Lydall Solutech is the producer of the specialty film SOLUPOR. These films are developed specifically for air- and liquid filtration. Lydall Solutech is a subsidiary of Lydall Inc. We are looking for a: Technical Marketing Engineer The Technical Marketing Engineer (TME) supports external and internal customers in the sale and use of Lydall products for filtration. The TME is an expert on Lydall membrane products and customer applications. Responsibilities include field support to generate near term revenue and strategic input for product and market growth opportunities. Responsibilities of the role: Technical expert for Filtration Membranes, comprising knowledge of underlying polymers, membrane structure and performance, and application specific filter requirements (emphasis on sub-micron liquid filtration) Provide technical support, applications and test expertise for established customers and in pursuit of new opportunities Determine customer needs and communicate product requirements within the Lydall organization Participate in the identification, analysis and strategy to enter new markets Benchmark Lydall and competitive products versus customer needs and establish product feature roadmaps Advance Lydall’s application engineering knowledge and capability (testing, validation, element construction, prototyping, etc.) Create and document new IP to enable and protect worldwide use of Solutech product and application solutions Foster formal project and in-formal knowledge exchange with technical “partners” (technology contractors, 3rd party test services, user groups, consultants, etc.) Represent Lydall at industry conferences, seminars and tradeshows We ask: Academic education, technical degree at University level (preferably in the field of biotechnology, chemical engineering, applied physics or chemistry) Knowledge and experience in the field(s) of filtration and separation; specific expertise in bioprocess (upstream and downstream processes) and/or water technologies is preferred A background in application technologies such as filter design, membrane selection, functional materials/treatments and filtration test methods Further background in product technologies (e.g., film processing, lamination, converting, pleating, and coating) is an advantage A team player, showing strong dedication to achieve results Leadership and entrepreneurship Project management skills Languages: fluent in English 5+ years relevant experience To apply: please send your English language CV to info@phd-jobs.net mentioning reference LS-01 Web: http://www.phd-jobs.net
